About me

I am a tenured associate professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management and Analytics (SCMA) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). I joined VCU as an assistant professor in August 2018, and obtained my tenure in May 2023.

Before joining VCU, I worked as a post-doctoral senior researcher at University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business from July 2016 through July 2018 (within the Technology and Operations Management area; the position was supported by the Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation).

I earned my Ph.D. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain and Operations from the University of Minnesota in July 2016.

Prior to that, I completed my M.Phil. (Master of Philosophy) study in Business Administration with a concentration in Logistics and Maritime Studies at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2011.

For my undergraduate studies, I obtained a Bachelor of Art degree in Bio-medical English from Health Science Center, and a Bachelor of Management degree in E-Business from the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University, China in 2009.

I am currently living in Richmond, Virignia, and I have previously worked and lived in Charlottesville, Minneapolis, Baltimore, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Cangxi (Sichuan).
